Welcome and thank you for stopping by to check out this round up of my favorite Top 11 Unique and Simple Farmhouse Decor Projects for Fall. As summer is winding down I am in total fall decor planning mode. I have put together my top list of DIY projects to complete this fall. I hope you find some great inspiration for your home for the fall season.
Dowel Rod Picture Frames
- First on my list is DIY Dowel Rod Picture Frames. If you follow my DIY directions to make the Dowel Rod Picture frames and substitute the Halloween printable I have in my Resource Library (HERE) you have a great inexpensive fall decor picture. I am absolutely in love with these DIY projects as you can make them for any season and any holiday, not to mention it takes maybe 20 minutes to make. So, in this DIY project instead of painting the image on with a stencil you can just print out those printables I have in my Resource Library ( so skip the painting steps in this tutorial). Twine Pumpkins
These Twine Pumpkins are so adorable and would be great for any accents in the home. Either on the mantle or foyer/entryway table, or even being used as a part of a tablescape. The options for how to use these in your home decor are endless. Simply Albany (Sarah) put together this great tutorial on how to make these. Click on the picture below to check them out.
Fall String Art
This is another one of my favorite DIY projects. There are so many cute things you can do with this string art. I made some string art for the 4th of July holiday this year and it turned out so great. All you have to do it pick a different template to fit the season you want to decorate for and repeat the steps in my DIY tutorial- HERE

Rope Word Sign
Funky Junk Interiors made some Rope Word signs for Valentines Day and they looked so good! You could easily also do this for the Fall season and make a sign with the words BOO! or Happy Halloween, Happy Fall, etc. They are so simple and give a rustic farmhouse vibe. Halloween Wood Bead Garland
These are another super easy fall decor item to make. They are easily customized for whatever style you are going for or any season. DIY Vibes has a great tutorial on how to make these. Don’t forget to change it up a little to make them your own. Change up the colors or design. Using different sized beads and colors makes this project really pop! Reverse Canvas Tutorial for Fall
This project I found on Pintrest and added it to my must do list for this fall. Super cute and easy. Click on the picture to check out this fun project by Craftables.
Fall Succulent Planters

Plastic Pumpkin Makeover
Check out how My Inspiration Corner converted the $1 pumpkin trick or treat candy collectors into this beautiful Buffalo Check Covered Pumpkin. Definitely a Farmhouse must do this season!
DIY Halloween Blocks
Megan Plus Five has this really cute DIY project on her site. This is a great craft to do to use up some scrap wood you have laying around. She even offers kits for you to do them at home! How cool is that. Head on over to her site to check it out.
Fall Gourd Crafts
I think these are going to be my favorite of all the crafts this fall season. These fall gourds are so creative and add a great eye- catching piece to your fall home decor. You could do so much with gourds for the fall. This DIY project keeps it very simple and just makes them ghosts. However if you are creative you could make them into any Halloween ghoul or character.
