Hi Loves! I have some really great craft projects to share with you all for the winter and holiday season. I compiled a list of my top 5 favorite, Easy and Cheap Winter Home Decor Crafts! I made sure I kept the crafts easy and under 15$. The best part is most of these supplies can be purchased from the dollar store! So lets get started.
1. Waterless Winter Snow Globe
Supplies needed for the waterless winter home decor snow globe:
- Glass Canister with wood top ( I got mine at Hobby Lobby with coupon – $3)
- Tiny wire tree ( dollar tree sells these)
- Red Truck ( I got mine from Wal Mart, and sanded the paint to make it look more rustic.)
- Sand Paper ( Sold at Dollar Tree)
- White Felt ( Sold at Dollar Tree)
- Fake Snow ( sold at Dollar Tree)
- Pine Cones ( sold at Dollar Tree)
- Green Garland ( sold at Dollar Tree)
- Red Ribbon ( sold at Dollar Tree)
- Red Bells ( sold at Dollar Tree)
- Hot Glue
- White Spray Paint
Steps:
- Sand the red truck to give it a rustic look.
- Trace the top of the glass canister on the white felt. Cut out and hot glue to the side of the lid inside the canister.
- Hot glue the tiny tree to the red truck
- Hot glue the truck to the white felt
- Place some fake white snow inside the canister and place the lid on the canister so the truck is now inside the canister.
- Spray the top (edges only)/ lid side of the canister with white spray paint
- Cut a 2-3 inch portion of the green garland and make it into a circle. Hot glue to the top of the snow globe.
- Glue two pine cones to the top also
- Tie a bow with red yarn and hot glue two bells to either end
- Hot glue bow in the front of the pine cones.

5. Yarn Winter Home Decor Trees
Supplies
- Yarn your color of choice ( Sold from the Dollar Store)
- Plastic Pearls ( Sold from the Dollar Store)
- Fake Green Moss ( Wal Mart)
- Thick Card Paper
- Circular long dowel rod or stick from outside
- Hot glue
- Unfinished wood slices ( for the base)
Steps:
- Cut a square of thick card paper and hot glue into a cone shape by folding diagonal corners together.
- Hot glue the yarn to the end of the cone and wrap and glue the yarn around the cone until completely covered. I recommend doing two complete wraps to cover any gaps or holes, so you don’t see the paper underneath.
- Hot glue the fake pearls randomly onto your tree
- Hot glue the dowel rod into the cone/ inside the tree
- Hot glue the dowel rod to the wood circle
- Decorate the base by hot gluing moss to the base.
- Enjoy!
Quick Note From the Author
These 5 favorite, easy and cheap winter home decor crafts can be enjoyed all winter long just not during the holiday season. 2020 was a little chaotic to say the least for mostly everyone. These projects are simple and cheap and allow you to grab your kids and spend some great bonding time with them during those cold winter days crafting at home together. My daughter absolutely loves it when I tell her we are spending the weekend crafting. She counts down the hours until it’s craft time! I’m so blessed she enjoys these moments and can look back on them when she gets older and smile. My wish for all of you is that you find happiness in crafting and sharing these beauties with those close you. Happy Holidays!
All the Love,
Lindsay
