Thursday Thirteen~I’m finally trying it!

1. I’m finally remembering to do this Thursday Thirteen thing…on a Thursday. 2. No one had to email me to remind me, either! 3. I’m almost done Christmas shopping. 4. I’m not done wrapping. 5. I’m out of control with the shopping this year. I may never finish the wrapping, because I can’t seem to stop buying. 6. My honey is enjoying a week’s vacation in California. 7. He’s hanging out with all of his Marine buds. 8. He’s been sending me lots of pictures. Enough to justify making a separate page for his pictures. Link to follow soon, I hope! **~~**UPDATE**~~** Here’s the link. Just a note, it’s…ummm….graphically…intense. And there’s music playing. I’d love to hear how load time is for y’all. :) It’s the first “regular” webpage I’ve made in a long time, it was…weird! 9. I’m enjoying a week’s vacation staying home with the kids. It’s actually really nice, altho a bit of a challenge, since I’m used to having Ben to fall back on. 10. I’m starting a new job on Monday. In an office. Sitting. At a desk. If I’m really, really lucky, there will be internet access. :) 11. I told Ben that I was going to clean all week. I better start soon! 12. I’ve cooked real meals more times this week than I have in a month. Poor Ben is missing it! That’s ok, because when he gets home I’m cooking him special hot potatoes. I used to have the recipe and lost it (along with the cookbook it was in). I found the cookbook on Ebay and it came yesterday! 13.Today I think I am going to make a Tollhouse Pie. Yum! I’m glad you decided to join us here at TT , and that it led you to my doorstep. Our harddrive crashed and I lost all my links stuff, so am having to start over again.
I like doing this particular meme. I have never stayed with one particular meme consistently because alot of times, I wouldn’t know just how to answer the questions, or they just weren’t questions I knew how to answer. But this one is easy — because its all about me. I struggled the first week, doing random things. So, the next week, my Thursday 13 was just a list — of topics I would do over the next 13 weeks. It has made it sooo much easier to do. Plus, I have found, if I work on the list all during the week, and postdate it for early morning Thursday, then I can get around to visit others alot easier. Otherwise, with working, it seemed like it was late afternoon, early evening before I could even get to it.

Mmmm! Pie! That’s funny, cuz that’s one of the recipes I looked at today. I’m a cooking & baking machine this week. Lentil soup’s on the stove right now… I’ll bring it with me to go with the pie!
Congrats on the new job again. I bet the change to “regular” hours will be wonderful!
