Right away, let me apoligize for the language. I know my family reads this…I know my kids read this….I know Ben’s family reads this. I’m sorry. There’s just no nice way to put this.
Michael Schiavo, who I’ve tried as best I could to NOT see as a “bad guy”…cemented that image in my head. Forever and ever, amen.
Here’s the thing that’s got me so disgusted with this idiot. It’s not enough that he felt she needed to die….be it that she was not dying…but he just cannot pass up the opportunity to rub his victory in Terri’s parents face. What a jerk. He kept his promise. It’s amazing that he didn’t even REMEMBER that promise for years…until he had enough money. Then, suddenly, to steal the words, it all becomes Crystal Clear to him…Terri doesn’t want to live, quick, let’s get rid of her. Sadly for him (and even more sadly for Terri, as she’s the one who suffered in the end) it took many years for him to get his way. But now that he’s gotten it….the bastard is gloating!!! The NERVE!
Ok…I’m gonna back away from this before I really lose it here. But just for the hell of it, I do want to mention…yes, I found this story at Fox News (after a hat tip from Janette at Common Sense Runs Wild)…but for those of you who say I need to expand my news sources…the story is also being carried at CBS News.

It’s not an understatement to say I just couldn’t bring myself to write any more than what I did on the subject. Still, I get so angry everytime I think of Terri’s parents having to read that each time they go to see their daughter. It’s amazing that he even managed to make her last resting place about him instead of Terri.

Her story is a very sad one.
Mike murdered Terri, everybody fully knows it. Mike had accomplices, everybody knows them. That they’re still alive, I’m guessing, is a testament that Christ lives in the hearts of the bereived.

Wow…great post. Words cannot express how this just sickens me. I have thought many times how he would feel if this happened to his child? This man could have simply let her parents take care of her which they were more than willing to do. Not for one minute do I think he promised Terri anything close to what he gave her. I hope his current fiance thinks about this and gets some documents signed before she puts his life in her hands or even casually mentions what she would like done. Believe me, this freak is going to do what is best for HIMSELF and only HIMSELF. I am sure that life is not easy for him after all this and to that I say…YAY! At least he gets to live with nobody starving him to death. Just horrible. He will get his judgement one day.

While I haven’t agreed on some issues involving the Schiavo case, I can agree on this one. Why the hell would anyone ever write something about themselves on a tomb-stone!? Hello, it’s Terri’s tomb-stone, not his! It’s about HER, and no one else! How conceited!!!
It’s like he is rubbing it in someone’s nose with that “I Kept My Promise” crap! and the part about “leaving this earth at peace” my butt!

I don’t know T, this is such a hard one. Sad sad story. I know I wouldn’t want to be in a world as TS had, but then again, knowing the entire situation, I think the grave marker is a slap to her family. Keep the slaps, opinion and politics off of a sacred marker. It’s just too bad that *both* sides couldn’t work together. Tug of war never works. Neither does the relentless media frenzy. She will never really be at peace until everyone lets this die down.
I agree that the wording on the gravestone is ridiculous, but to say that Terri was murdered is a stretch.
The autopsy was done, and it confirmed what everyone thought, that she was brain dead and in a complete vegetative state. Terri died years ago, in her car accident and it was just her body that was being forced to be alive.
I believe that for a long time her spirit was looking on wondering why everyone couldn’t let her go. She’s in a much grander place than this and has been for some time.
Ah, David, I read the autopsy report. What it said was that she was not brain dead and that they could not confirm that she was PVS. That was the comment of the neurologist who did the work on the brain. In a press conference, they reiterated that. You seem to be a bit confused.

Uhm David, not only are you confused about the autopsy report, but what car accident are you talking about? Terri collapsed for “unknown reasons” and it only took her “loving husband” between 40-70 minutes to call 911. He of course, was exhausting all possible means to revive her. (And if you believe “unknown reasons,” “loving husband,” and the last sentence, please come by the house so I can sell you some giant diamonds the previous owner made into doorknobs.)
What exactly was his promise to her – could it have been “I am going to kill you”?

The man is a killer and i hope he dies a slow and painful death.His current wife better get her affairs in order,and give her paperwork to someone other then michael.I HAD A LOVED ONE THAT WAS IN A COMA FOR 2 YEARS! And from what i seen on t.v. terri was not in a PVS. I seen the major difference between my childres’ dad and her and my ex was in a pvs, she was not! Michael should have let terri’s parents take care of her.I do not know how it was even his decsion to make,after he remarried he should not have had any say so.HE IS NOT GOD!it is supposed to be “till death do us part”,not “till murder do us part”! He makes me sick.
Even after 4 years, It still angers me that he was appointed over her parents who wanted to care for her. He is the image of evil in my opinion. There was no reason why he couldn’t allow her parents to continue to love Terri, except I believe he was afraid she would speak one day and tell a tale of his abuse.
The judicial system that allowed him to make the decision over her loving parents STINKS. He may have had custody, but he wanted her to die. The parents were willing to continue where he was willling to leave off. She showed signs of communication. How is this fair?
