The REAL news!!
Ok, my big secret, my big surprise.
After 25 years of working in retail, 7 days a week, nights, weekends, holidays…..I got a REAL job! A Monday thru Friday, 8:30-5, job, in an office. Where they don’t let the customers into the building.
Monday thru Friday!! No nights!!! No WEEKENDS!!!!!!
Can you tell that I’m excited?
Anyway, I gave my employer a week’s notice. Not as much as I probably should have, but hey, at least I gave notice. I start my new job on the 19th. I really just can’t wait. It’ll be so nice to have the energy to blog again!
In other news, Ben left this morning for his big trip to California. He’s off to see all of his Marine buds that he hasn’t seen in like 20 years. To say that he’s excited would be an understatement, lol. It’s a bummer for me right before Christmas, but that’s how his vacation time fell, so I guess I shall survive. :) His best friend in California, Bob, recently got back from his second tour in Iraq (I posted several of his pics a few months back) and leaves soon for 2 years in Japan, so it’s probably Ben’s last chance to see him for a while. Hopefully he’ll figure out how to use hotspots and be able to start blogging himself, along with sending me some pics to post. :)
Oh! And a big, big thanks to Janette for catching an error with my link to my design site. Great way to promote myself, huh, with a dead link?! Be sure you go visit Janette, she’s up for the Weblog Awards for Best New BlogMerri Musings, another site I designed. I’m proud to say that like 5 or 6 of my designs made it in there somewhere. First of all Michele sent me. I like your festive new look. ANd, I am completely jealous. Having been in retail for 23 years I long for a job that does not have face to face public contact. What is your new job? Good luck.

I know I’ve been on your blog before, Tammy but I think it’s been a while. It is BEAUTIFUL. As soon as your header loaded I was floored! You did such a great job. I wish I could remember what it looked like before so I could realize just how much of a change was involved.

Me again! I just realized I could change the skins myself–and now I see that you had “stressed” as your look before, and I was looking at you when you had a different look even before that. I’d not seen the “sleepy” look nor the “Christmas” skins yet and they’re both great. I love your work.
