Please Pray

by Tammy on August 28, 2005

I don’t usually do posts like this, but this time I just feel compelled. Please pray for all of those who are about to be affected by Hurricane Katrina. My very close friend Kathalise (aka Smoke) has family in Lousiana, which is where she grew up. My Cotillion sister Beth lives in the Mobile, Alabama, area, and is having to flee from this storm. Carol, the former American Housewife, is in the path, and I hope she’s getting out. Her SIL, Bonnie, is in Alabama as well, and I hope she’s somewhere safe.

It’s all so scary. Having lived through Hurricane Charley, who was a much smaller and faster moving storm, I cannot even imagine what is about to happen.

So pray. Ok?

Having gone through Charlie… I cannot even fathom what is about to happen. It’s terrible and I have them all in my prayers. On the news, they keep showing coverage of the families that CANNOT leave.. I hope that they are safe.

Here in NC we’re in the path but it should have gotten to just hard rain by the time we see it. I hope that FL and LA are not hit hard. They’ve had several rough years lately with the weather. They need a break!

We have friends near New Orleans and I hope they’re long gone at this point.

Here via Michele. Love you blog!

Hello, Michele sent me!

Hi Michele sent me. I’ll send a few positive thoughts towards those in the path of the high winds.

Hi Tammy, where I am in Alabama is pretty way up inward. However, with a hurricane the size of this one I am sure we are going to get something from her. It doesn’t warrant evacuation on my part. But thanks for thinking of us and posting about it. If you hear from Beth let me know she is OK! I’ll keep checking on her too.

Thanks for your visit to my blog today and leaving behind a nice comment. I am watching Fox News with all the hurricane info – I can’t imagine why a reporter would even venture into that kind of situation voluntarily. Anyway, prayers from Ohio have been pouring forth since yesterday. I’ll come back to visit you soon!

Prayer is good. I LIKE prayer, yes I do. I had a bad feeling Katrina was gonna PMS her way through, and that she did. We had some limbs and a million leaves to fall, and a few things knocked and blow over, but we have absolutely nothing to complain about. I’m glad you’re safe, Tammy. My blog would be nekkid without you!
