Murder charges filed against Michael King
Both the Charlotte Sun and NBC-2 are reporting that murder charges have been filed against Michael King in the death of Denise Amber Lee.
NORTH PORT: Prosecutors have filed murder charges against Michael Lee King, the man accused of abducting Denise Amber Lee from her home Thursday.
The Sarasota Clerk of Courts says the charge was filed at about 11:30 p.m. Monday.
King was arrested Thursday evening after an intense search for the woman.
Despite a number of clues, including a 9-1-1 call from the woman while King was allegedly driving around with the 21-year-old mother of two in his car, authorities were unable to find her before she was killed.
Her body was found a short distance away from where King was arrested. In his car, authorities found a shovel and a flashlight.
Her body was found Saturday in a shallow grave near I-75 and Toledo Blade Boulevard.
Now let’s just hope this trial comes about quickly. The North Port Police Department should have plenty of evidence against Michael King. Let Denise get the justice that she deserves.

I would love nothing more than an eye for an eye justice for him. He doesn’t deserve to breathe.
A very sad story and I just watched the show in this sad situation, then I noticed from her myspace page that her birthday is the 7 of the 8th.

I would like to express my heartfelt emotions for the family and loved ones of Denise Amber Lee. I am just a Dutch mom of 38 with one daughter in the USofA. I myself live in the Netherlands. I watched part of the trial on my laptop yesterday evening (+6) and felt sickened by what I saw and heard. I hope this Michael K. is brought to justice, which means for me that he will serve the sentence he is convicted to. We are not allowed to take justice into our own hands, otherwise the world would become a place where these monsters would take over. Please let us do everything we can to not make this happen. Thank you for reading this post. May Denise Amber Lee’s soul rest in Peace.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the woman’s family
may god be with them all. I was so sad when I heard about
this murder. I hope justice is served quick. I hate to say
but he should be fried for what he’s done. Everyone has
some excuse for what they’ve done. They need to
just take responsibility for what they have done.
Doesn’t matter if he’s crazy or not. We don’t need
people like that in our world.
