We’ve been working hard getting our fundraiser underway, “Life Through Love”…So far, so good. As in my previous post, all west county schools have been collecting monetary donations, gift cards this week. Friday we will collect all monies and items. Just FYI, they are accepting diapers (size 3+) and formula: Similac Sensitive… We will be taking pics and I would like to create a slide show also & I think that’s a great idea…Some other things that our school (Vineland Elementary~where Denise attended) specifically is doing…We, too are getting teachers & moms together to make the white ribbon pins. These will be sold at our annual Heron Hoopla for a minimum $1.00 donation. We will be setting up our booth in an area where we will plant a tree in Denise’s memory. Our secretary actually wrote a beautiful poem that will be inscribed on a memorial stepping stone… I truly admire the family’s strength…I often wonder how they’re doing it…Again, as a mother of 3 boys, I just can’t begin to imagine…they are constantly on my mind…It really makes me feel proud to see such an outpouring of kindness and generosity…Take care everyone, and thanks again for your willingness to share your ideas. :o)
