This is again – a very sad, sad situation.
I pray for Haleigh’s family that she will finally make it home.
Summer will soon be here – and that puts more of our children at risk. So before summer arrives – mothers, grandmothers, and anybody with small ones – keep the children a little closer and your eyes wide open. I can’t understand how this can happen to anyone at any age.
The man wearing a black t-shirt who abducted Haleigh seems like he knew what he was doing.
He went directly to her room.
Was he a white man wearing eye glasses?
He must have been very strong to yank her out of her bed.
Haleigh’s shirt that was found nearby was it filled with smoke?
Do the family members smoke in the home or outside of the home?
Isnt’ it interesting that they are getting married all of a sudden. My thought is they know the police are close and Misty probably knows more than she is sharing. They are in such a rush to get married so they don’t have to testify against one another!
Why is a 24 year old man even dating a 17 yr old? Appears there are a lot of family issues there.
I THINK THEY SHOULD LOCK THAT LITTLE GIRLFRIEND UP FOR A MINIMUM OF 1 WEEK FOR QUESTIONING, SHE WILL BREAK AND TELL SOMETHING. I JUST FEEL THAT SHE KNOWS SOMETHING!!! MY PRAYES ARE WITH HALEIGH AND THE MOM AND THE GRANDMA

I have so much compassion for Ms Neves the paternal Grandmother. She is so sad and can not speak with out tears, and that means a broken heart. The entire family needs all the prayers they can get, but she seems to need it more right now.
God bless them all and we can pray that Haleigh will be home safe very soon.

There are many opinions about the upcoming wedding of Ronald Cummings and Misty. It would appear they should have waited until Haleigh came home, since she was so happy they would eventually marry according to the engagees.

I honestly haven’t been keeping up with this story, it is so sad. I don’t know all the details. I do not understand though how or why they would get married now? If my child was missing I’m sure I couldn’t eat, sleep, function, let alone plan a wedding. I would think they would want Hayleigh to be there as well., wait for Her to come home. I don’t know…. just heartbreaking…
How can someone say “Idon’t Care…get over it etc” I don’t know this family personally but I hope the child is not dead or being abused or molested. We hear everyday of murder and rape on adults. Can people just now even think haw awful and frightening this is for a child. I don’t understand all the aspects of this case, and because it hasn’t happenned to me it is hard to imaging someone in my room taking a child lying near me..but I think it is possible, especially if the child didn’t waken or was silent. I hope she is ok but as time marches on chances are she isn’t.

THIS IS ANOTHER MESSED UP CASE OF A MISSING CHILD. MY OPINION IS THAT THE GIRLFRIEND, IS AFRAID OF RON CUMMINGS AND AFRAID TO TELL THE TRUTH. I THINK SHE WENT OUT OF THE HOUSE AFTER THE CHILDREN WERE ASLEEP LEFT THE DOOR OPENED WITH THE CEMENT BLOCK AND THE 5YR HAYLEIGH MAY HAVE WOKEN UP DIDN’T SEE “MISTY” AND JUST MAYBE WANDERED OUTSIDE TO FIND HER AND MAYBE WANDERED IN THE WOODED AREA SOMEHOW. THIS MISTY PERSON MADE SURE SHE WAS BACK IN THE HOUSE BEFORE “RON” GOT HOME AND DISCOVERED THE LITTLE GIRL WAS GONE. EVEN THOUGH HAYLEIGH IS SUPPOSE TO BE AFRAID OF THE DARK, ETC., SHE COULD HAVE BEEN MORE AFRAID OF NOT SEEING THIS MISTY IN THE HOUSE AND JUST WALKED OUT TO FIND HER. THIS WHOLE STORY IS REAL FISHY. I DON’T THINK MISTY HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH HER BEING MISSING I JUST THINK SHE JUST WAS VERY NEGLECTFUL. ALSO WITH THE FATHER GETTING MARRIED TO THIS 17 YEAR OLD NOW IS NUTS!! There is the possibility that Haleigh was awakin by a sound and then the kitchen light and thinking that her dad was home got up and went into the other room and when the intruder saw her then took her knowing that she could identify them… Why was an intruder there in the first place is the question….? It had to be someone they knew. They wanted something else and poor Haliegh ended up being taken as well… Ron and Misty need to be more then honest….You know what was really going on in that house yeah Ron you were at work and god knows you didnt do this but you know why someone went into your house, and you know what they wanted when you can tell the police this then you have a better chance at finding your daughter… And you need to have Misty tell the truth It’s hard to think that the one you love may have done something .. but she was the one responsible for her missing she needs to tell the truth, Ron put your daughter first her love is unconditional Misty’s is just to not get in TROUBLE… haliegh is your heart Ron give her your respect and love please give it to her…
Well here is my supposition. If Misty spoke as a southerner, then she did not lie. If someone says she slept by me, that simply meant in the same room, not the same bed. Giving the benefit of the doubt we can surmise this to be true.
I was taken aback at Misty’s demeanoor when on the Today Show as well. If she left the trailer and went some place after the kids were asleep, she should fess up and give the search teams a better chance of finding Haleigh.
This is one sad event of returns on changing the face of what really happened.
A seventeen is usually more than likely to take a hike after kids are asleep.
Crystal is losing my respect altogether too.
If Ron Cummings literally stole these kids by giving the bogus address for Crystal, then he should lose the children bck to the mother. She can’t keep a court date if NOT notified!!
He is guilty of kidnapping because Crystal’s address was bogus and Ron Cummings gave the bogus address to authorities, and is liable for his lies causing Crystal to lose her rights to these kids..from the erroneous address in Jacksonville.
The grandma (Crystal’s mom) has a record as long as my arm. The question still remains, “how did she get a school bus driving job with a narcotic record????

I just cannot accept no one has any ideas , answers, suspicions about this little girl .. No one is talking really . It is sickening that the engagement gets more public exposure than the little girl.It is pretty disgusting that between the Casey Anthony case and this case suspects just say whatever they want and change storys daily and get away with it.Like changing underwear . The police and investigators put no pressure what so ever on these suspects . And the interview with the Dad on Nancy Grace he looked so put out , rolling his eyes , shaking his head he is a winner!!!! Lack of education i guess!!No self control !!!! One would have to question his self control around his daughter???? NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING !!! Okay swallow that people!!!! Also the dumpster ?? The cadaver dogs hit on something in there . Was the dumpster emptied prior ???? The damn dogs smelled something . LIttle foot prints in the path near the house???? Some one knows something and detetectives are being way to easy on these suspects!!!! Look what happened to little Caylee Anthony possibly at the hands of her own mother. I think someone in the family knows exactly what happened!!!!! I also cannot understand, if he could by a ring for his girlfriend , why couldn’t he invest in a beds for his children ?? He looks medicated / on drugs everytime he is on t.v. Drug related people . Who would have drug addicts around children???? Irresponsible parents that have no class. I feel strongly that the Bio Mom is telling the truth about the dad. she says he is abusive , well watch the Nancy grace show it will tell you the same, his body language. He appears to be short fused. Poor little girl. I hope the Mom can find out more about the situation Haleigh was living in prior . Maybe some outsiders , friends know something ????? More investigation . And more people need to talk, it seems like the only one telling it how it really is with Ron and Mindy is the Bio mom!!! Good luck !! This is a sad story. I know that with all of the children that go missing there are the ones that have been harmed by their parent(s). Let us not judge too quickly about these parents and the fathers girlfriend. Even though they may not be the kindest people around, that doesn’t mean that they hurt her. I’m sure you have all heard about Jessica Lunsford, remember what happened to her, she was taken from her home in the middle of the night by a stranger.
I understand that with people like Casey Anthony in the news it is easy for us to assume that Haleigh was hurt by her parent or someone close to her. But I think that we should give this family a chance. Remember, this can happen to any of us, wouldn’t you want to be given a chance?
I have to agree with Linda. Maybe many don’t remember the Elizabeth Smart case in UT. She was a teenager and her sister was in the room. Elizabeth was taking from her bedroom. She was missing nine months before she got to a point where she alerted for help. Thank God she was one of the stories who returned alive. When some thing like this happens the mind is not clear and alert to all the details. You go into shock. Right now I personally am upset with Crystal and what she is doing. She has had years to do this if it were so. I am talking about the abuse accusations. She is taking the main focus off finding her daughter. I as a mother would have no other energy other than to find my daughter. And I give Nancy Grace a big thumbs up for the way she is digging into the photos of so called abuse.

Is it possible someone took Haleigh to protect her from abuse? I also tend to think Crystal is telling the truth. I think she has tried to get the kids back and didn’t intentionally miss the court dates. I’m glad she had a good lawyer now. Also what could a little 4 year old boy do that would be bad enough to beat him with a stick? Maybe an older child if you believe in corporal punishment but 4 and 5 year olds? Guess these people haven’t heard of time outs. I also have dogs and I believe something of Haleighs was in that dumpster. If I have a treat on the counter and take it away my dogs still sniff the counter to look for it. I pray someone just thinks they are protecting her.

Without going into a day long session on domestic violence, I can tell you that Crystal’s story seems plausible to me. Her mother was a drug addict and she moved in with Ronald Cummings when she was 14. Why did she lose custody of her kids? Do you realize over 50% of abusers end up with custody of the children? She’s crazy; he’s in control. He works; she doesn’t. The list goes on.
Anyway, my concern is why the police aren’t concentrating on the events of Feb. 9th. I read that Hayleigh didn’t go to school that day. If Hayleigh was already missing, it explains why Misty can’t remember what Hayleigh wore to bed. It explains why she can’t remember where everyone was sleeping. It explains why she would claim to pass by one bathroom to use the one on the other side of the trailer. It takes away Ronald’s alibi of being at work when Misty claims Hayleigh went missing. And if Ronald and/or Misty harmed Hayleigh, it explains why there was no evidence of a break-in.
The story reeks of being concocted. And the fact that Ronald and Misty got married while this tragedy is going on just adds to it. It seems to me that they got married so they couldn’t be forced to testify against each other.
It seems to me,that Ronnie had a fight with the cousin and then the daughter is gone.and no cousin around. Plus the last 2 people in the house were a repairman and the cousin.I also agree with having a phycis come and look around.Ihave grandkids and I don’t let them out of my sight.Way to many strange people out there,including women to.

WHAT IS THIS WHOLE RONNIE AND COUSIN FLIGHT THING? I HAVENT HEARD THAT, WHAT HAPPENED?
Since everyone is throwing out theories i have one. first off, right when this happened something was always bothering me and that was someone entering a place they have never been before, i thnik a very high percentage of humans won’t go into someone else house in the middle of the night if they know people are home UNLESS they have been there before. So i really chalk misty up to being 17 and somewhat slow, so lets forget her for the moment. also many people seem to like commiting crimes outside of their area, say someone out of state, it’s much easier for them to get in, do the deed and flee the state quickly. so who knows the house, has been there before and had the opporunity to do it? THE COUSIN who came in from out of state!! Heres why I say so, mistys cousin sheila say that the van was moved that same night, that very likely means someone took her keys, used the van, than returned it, all on the same night the girl disappears. i’ll also bet since misty let sheila borrow the van that sheila also had a key to misty and ronalds house. this also expalins the entry at ronalds house whcih always bothered me, first off how did someone get in and i am sure whoever it was IS familiar with the house and the people inside. wasnt the cousin there at the house earlier that day? he probably overheard misty talking about how ron was at work and was just her and the kids. he really is the only one who knew the place, likely knew what was going on and had the opportunity since sheila only lived a couple of miles away. the reason the police can’t do anything is because the cousin probabyly was already in the van with sheila and so was haleigh at some point so they don’t have anything on him, and no one actually ‘saw’ him take the van, sheila only says she is sure it was not parked that way when she last used it that night. than of course the cousin splits back to his state and the police can’t really do anything. when you look at these events this way than everything starts to fit into place, never mind misty’s changing stories or whatever, i don’t believe for a minute she had anything to do with it, but with the event of the van being gone that night, and the way someone seemed to know the house layout and who was there, i think the police are just waiting for the right evidence to get him, problem is without a body they don’t have anything else to check until either more evidence come out or the cousin spouts off to someone that he did it. thus why we aren’t seeing any headway on the case, am i the only one here who see’s the puzzle coming together?
PS this also explains the back door propted with the brick, he did this so he could go through all of the keys on the key ring to find out which one went to the back door, starting to make sense isnt it? he also had an excuse because if his cousin misty woke up he could always come up with an easy excuse.
I do have to applaud you Dick Tracy I agree with what your outlook is about this situation and I do think the police are closer then what there letting on so that it dont turn into another Caliegh Anthony story…. Who ever has Haleigh is too scared at this point to let her come home because she can identify them, I do pray that she is still well, But i am scared that the longer this takes the worse the outcome. Who ever you are please let this child go home to her familys all her familys. Its amazing how as adults we can attack other family members in a crises time, and take advantage of the situation to try and make themselves seem to be the better parent but in reality its not about who gets who its about who can be the adult, it takes two to raise a child, but it also takes two to fight. Stop the accusations and help find your daughter, She needs all of you her heart is big enough to share, maybe you can learn something from her as parents….

unfortunately i dont think haleigh is alive, if the cousin did take the van to do the deed he would have had to dispose of her before he got back, and i think that’s likely what he did. also if you look at the van dam case from california and the jessica langsfurd case from florida both were done by people who lived very close by, the cousin was the only one who likely knew what was going on that night, knew ronald would be work late, and had the means to do it…ie the van which was mysteriously parked differently than when sheila left it. in cases like these it is almost always someone close to the event and family. it breaks my heart to say this but i believe once they find a body they can hopefully get DNA to match the cousin cause right now they don’t have anything they can pin on him. my only son died when he was 3 months old(trisomy 18-very rare genetic condition), for those of you who have children, cherish every blinking moment, love your children, treat them with respect, and respect yourself. PS i pegged casey anthony as a killer from day one..and in the days after each event just instilled i was right on, and if you don’t believe she did it by now i have a bridge in brooklyn i can sell you also. there are some sick people out there, some that are closer to you than you may want to believe.
I have been following the stories of Caylee and Haleigh.
In Caylees case, no the mom did not report her missing and Yes she kept parting. But I still have this hang up about the utility worker who reported something 3 times…. Casey did lots of things the wrong way, but she is in jail for murder.

Misti was suppose to be watching them, shes last to see her. The only thing the dad did different was to tell her to call 911. Why didn’t she do it before? Yes they have been in the public eye, I think showing us what they want us to see. But tell me WHY at the time Haleigh is missing did they have to get married. That is suppose to be a joyous time maybe Haleigh would have like to have been there or do they know she will not be found!!! Then daddy goes and gets a tattoo…please

this is all between family, Misty, Ron and Cristal, a power struggle for custody this give votes or promotion to the maternal side of this family, the court was wrong, can you see?…. Ron is not a fit father….. and worse a child abuse case….. Haleigh’s father Ron, I think they did something like Anthony’s family, the girl was ill then they are free of paying medications and doctors, is just an opinion that is not the truth at all.

just keep in mind,everything you are hearing is from crystal and her attorney.because crystal is trying to get custody.so the stuff about the sofa moving,and all.Believe me I’m not saying that misty didn’t do that,cause I think misty is at fault here,she knows something and is afraid to say.seen too many pictures of her smiling and smoking.In one of her photo’s with her cousin they looked really close.they are probably in this together.
This is just a sad story on so many levels. Here you have a this adorable little girl that has been missing for over a month and the biggest focus these hillbillies (Crystal and her cronies) are focusing on is how to bash and destroy Ronald. Such BS and truly sad. Crystal is a selfish and attention seeking basket case. Did anyone else notice the crocodile tears from Crystal on a her cry for help press conference?? She was wiping and shaking but I didnt see a single tear….no swelling/redness of the eyes yet she kept pushing that tissue deep into eyes, Im guessing she was trying to irritated her eyes to produce some tears….pretty pathetic. This town has 44 sex offenders within a 5 mile radius. One out of those 44 has yet to check in and to be found???? Has anyone placed a focus on that particular pervert??? What Im concerned with is Haleigh has been taken by one of those offenders and the Po Po is just too stupid and inexperienced to do a thorough investigation. These desperate offenders will do whatever it takes to get their victims whether its traveling miles away or right next door. Put the focus back on the predators in the neighborhood and not the dumb accussations brought forth by a jealous and angry ex-wife.

Greetings. It appears that Ronald Cummings has spoken to the effect that a custody battle is NOT brewing between him and his ex girlfriend Crystal Sheffield. Well it appears to me it IS a custody battle and Haleigh has been lost in the cracks here.
This child has been missing over 40 some days now, and nobody is searching now. I thought the Equus team out of Texas was searching at one time and then did not resume their search. Has anyone heard about that?
Also the 2 day recent searchers were advised NOT to search any more because it was too dangerous! I swear I am flabbergasted with the outcome of some of these notifications.
Yes it was not the thing to do with the teen bride getting married to Cummings. Now the entire story Misty created appears to be fictitious all told. If she had a black man in the trailer and the little brother saw him, then she has had it I believe. I go back to the late night laundry skit, if she made her bed and the little boy was in that bed, it WOULD BE impossible to not awaken him by making the bed. No sense at all. So all the time I was defending Misty, she was trolloping around, and inventing a story she thought would stick!
Well Haleigh is STILL MISSING and they better get it going again on searches, or the inevitable will happen, if it hasn’t already.
Pray that the authorities can bring Haleigh home.
