Did he or didn’t he?
It’s been too quiet around here…so I decided it was time to ask a question…provoke some response.
John Mark Karr….did he kill JonBenet Ramsey or is he just a delusional nutcase? Share your opinions with me…and let me know why you feel the way you do. I’ll tell you what I think…but I want to hear what y’all think first. After that, I’ll follow up with a post explaining my feelings on this case.

Well Tam, you know my opinion. As I sit here half an hour away from Boulder, and have suffered the media onslaught; I’ve yet to be convinced that he’s done it. There is quite a bit of new information coming out that’s making me rethink my position. The next few months (most places would be weeks, but hey, it’s Boulder County) will be interesting.
Whether Karr committed the Ramsey crime or not, he is a danger to children everywhere. And for that he deserves but one fate. I write about him and others of his ilk at http://www.nicholasborelli.com
i am less than interested in this story. i don’t think the guy did it. i think he’s a kook who has a pathological obsession and likes the attention. so i guess i agree with the conventional wisdom on that. i also think the boulder da will charge him – even if the dna is not a match – because they will be so happy just to have somebody in custody to silence their critics.
I don’t know if he did it or not. I want to hear about DNA evidence. Either way, he is one of the creepiest men I’ve ever seen!
I’m waiting for the DNA evidence, myself. But I doubt he did it. I think he’s a sick, messed up freak who has a lot of issues and needs to be locked up, because clearly he is a danger to kids, but I don’t really think he killed poor little JonBenet.
I agree with caltechgirl. This first image I saw of John Mark Karr reminded me of “Silence of the Lambs.” I could see him actually saying, “It rubs the lotion on its or else it gets the hose again.” They should check his previous residences for wells in the basements.
I don’t think he did it. I don’t know why I feel this way. BUT I do think he is a pedophile.
Maybe he’s seeking his 15 minutes of fame??
I really don’t care. Let’s decide what to do about child predators once & for all & focus more on the missing children & the children in jeapordy than some wierdo!
At this point I’m not sure, my gut says no. Something just doesn’t seem quite right. I think he’s someone who was maybe obsessed with her and with the case and has been that way for so many years now that its become real.
Whether or not he did it, I do think that it will help bring light again to the issue of missing and exploited children and how important and urgent it is to get names and registries out there and ways to keep our children safe.
Here’s a little info, my SIL is a manucurist who works in Boulder. She recently did the nails of the caterer who was the last known non-family member in the house before Jon Benet was killed. She told my SIL that it took six months for the Boulder DA to even contact her, and even then they didn’t question her. She has yet to be fully examined by that office ten years later. They’re a bunch of tree-hugging weed smokers in Boulder, and apparently the DA’s office isn’t much difference. Annika’s right. They will charge him no matter what, DNA or no DNA simply because they feel the need to have a convicted suspect in this case. Knowing that this guy will be off the streets is a good thing, but Jon Benet’s real killer is still out there, is disturbing.
I think if I were sitting in a Thai prison, I would admit to killing Christ if I thought it would get me out of there.

I’m thinking no, he didn’t do it. I think he was trying to get out of the prison in Thailand for one. I truly haven’t listened to too much of it all because I’ve been crazy busy. But my instinct at looking at him and how he seemed to be wearing makeup for his “interview” and he was looking around the room in weird ways….like he was secretly enjoying the attention.  I think he’s a nutjob with a facination for high-profile murders. He’s just way off in too many ways.
I have to agree. I think he’s a majorly obsessed individual who has simply wanted the attention he’d get from admitting to it. He had a vague link to the case, so he took advantage of it. It also got him out of Thailand.
