Defense at it again…Denise Amber Lee
So the defense wants to keep out both Denise’s 911 call AND Jane Kowalski’s. Why am I not surprised? They say iDenise’s call should be kept out because prosecutors have been unable to positively identify Michael King’s voice from the recording. I guess the fact that it was made from his phone isn’t sufficient. Why they want Jane’s out, I really don’t know. I guess anything at all that makes Michael King look guilty should be kept out, according to them. So aggravating.
Denise’s call has never been made public, and there are many people who think it should stay that way. I actually agree with that….I don’t want to hear it. But the JURY should be allowed to hear it.
The judge is supposed to rule on the motions on Monday. I’ll let y’all know what he says as soon as I hear it.
Video below is from the Sarasota Herald Tribune. They messed up the headline on it…it says that the JUDGE wants the calls out. That is not correct, it’s the defense that is trying to keep out the evidence.
Today is Denise’s birthday, by the way. She would have been 23. :(
I can’t believe the judge would allow that to happen. I do not understand our justice system when they pick and choose what the jury hears. its so unfair.

Good! It means they think they don’t have any ACTUAL defense other than taking away what the prosecution already has. They are just grasping at straws and doing their job well – which I’ve said before, I think is a good thing. Less chance of appeals this way, which means we can be done with this foul thing for good.
I agree with you Tammy that the jury MUST hear Denise’s call. I just hope none of her family have to hear it. I pray for Denise’s family to have the strength to get through this difficult time.
And to Denise, I have thought of you all day today, as we all have I’m sure.
