Dale Fullwood Sentenced
Dale Fullwood was sentenced yesterday to one year in jail on charges of possession of child pornography. He, of course, is the father of 6-year-old Coral Rose Fullwood, who was abducted from her home, sexually assaulted, and killed, back in September of last year. No one has been charged with her murder.

SARASOTA — Circuit Court Judge Charles Roberts sentenced Dale Fullwood to one year in jail and five years of sexual offender probation Thursday.But the judge also ruled that Fullwood can post $10,000 bail and stay out of jail while he legally challenges the police search that uncovered the evidence against him.
Fullwood — the father of slain North Port girl Coralrose Fullwood,, 6 — pleaded no contest to a felony charge of possession of child pornography earlier this week, as his trial was about to begin.
The videos that investigators retrieved from Fullwood’s computer depict a girl younger than 12 being raped.
A lot of people are less than happy with this sentence, if left to them, Dale Fullwood would be strung up from the nearest tree, and that would be that. Now, I am in no way defending Dale. I find child porn to be revolting, and agree that he should be punished. But my question is, if Dale were not the father of a murdered child, would this case be getting anywhere near as much coverage? Would the general public be ready to lynch the guy? I’m not so sure.
A lot of people also seem to think that because he had porn on his computer, he must have killed his daughter. To me, this is just silly reasoning. No, he has not been cleared in the murder of Coral Rose. But neither has Ellen-Beth, his wife (who filed for divorce in April). For that matter, neither has their 4 year old child. The North Port Police refuse to clear anyone.
I personally think that if the NPPD had any credible evidence against Dale in the murder of Coral Rose, he’d be in jail by now. They’d find something to charge him with. It’s been over 10 months, and as best I can see, there has been no real progress in the investigation. Personally, I’d like to see a bit more attention paid to finding out what happened to Coral Rose. That’s a lot more important to me.
Dale screwed up. He admitted as much.
Fullwood spoke briefly in his own behalf, saying, “I am really sorry. I not only had 58 days in jail, but also after, to think about how serious the crime is.
“But I still have to take care of my kids,” Fullwood added. He and his wife Ellen-Beth have four surviving children ages 4 to 13, who presently live with Ellen-Beth. Dale Fullwood has limited supervised visitation privileges with the children.

He’s admitted that he made a huge mistake, and he’s paid dearly for it. He’d already lost a daughter, now he’s lost his wife and family as well. And he’ll continue to pay for years to come. He has 5 years of probation after he gets out of jail, and must register as a sex offender.
Let’s concentrate on finding out what happened to Coral Rose. She’s the important one here. She’s no longer here to defend herself. And don’t get me wrong, if Dale had anything to do with her death, than let him pay for it. He’d go up for a lot longer than a year. I think that so much attention has been paid to the child porn charges, that justice for Coral Rose has been overlooked. Let’s get back to it.

There’s a tv comedy star over here in England named Chris Langham currently on trial for having child pornography, Tammy.
I personally knew Dale.. he lived here in cape coral Fl and worked at a restruant in ft myers… and my boyfriends mom is the manager there… i helped a woman that worked there move with my boyfriend and Dale and it freaks me out how i was around somone like that, i had no idea and i was around a man who could have been dangerous… i am 15 and it seems to me how crazy it was to hear this story… i dont know what to think or who to trust.
Child porn and murder of a child are often are connected.
The fact that Dale was the last known person makes it likely that he either was or knows who was the murderer of Coral Rose.
Another glaring problem with Dale’s story when speaking of Coral Rose was Dale lamenting of wanting to get back to normalcy with his family. That translates into ‘let’s forget this ever happened’, a phrase alcoholics are prone to overuse.
i have a quick comment on dale fullwood i met him in jail right before he got sentence to a year in prison. i am from texas and regrettfully i ended up in county jail in sarasota fl. i never knew the details of his crimes then after a while i evemtually found out what he was being charged with. i also heard a couple of comments about he was supposbly the victum and the suspect of his seven yr daugthter. i have a seven yr old daughter to and i asked him what was this i hear he eventually told me the story and what i dont agree on is that when he would tell the story of his daugther and her traagady he would show no f…… emotions. he disgusted me. plain and simple. now i see this a year in prison i honestly think that every person that commits crimes against innocent children shoul go to hell and get the maximum sentence. i have been i trouble with the law but petty . any questions on anything on dale gladly help
