Casey Anthony’s gag order denied
Ok, so most of the press isn’t calling it a gag order, but that’s basically what it comes down to. Casey Anthony’s attorney filed a motion today to suppress jailhouse phone calls and video taped interviews, not wanting the press (and the public) to be privy to these conversations. His reason: it could impede the investigation and make it harder for Casey to receive a fair trial.
This from a woman who’s mother insists has not committed a crime and has done nothing wrong. If this is the case, why the worry about a fair trial?!
These are the words quoted from her lawyer:
“It’s our position is that, for example, if this child has been kidnapped and my client gives that information to her family, it should not be released to the media,” Baez told Strickland. “That’s our primary argument. We feel the search needs to be protected. All of the information has negatively impacted my client and possibly to her rights to a fair trial.”

Ummmmm….hello! If she’s been kidnapped, why isn’t Casey providing this top secret info to the INVESTIGATORS who want to find her? The media can be a wonderful tool, if used properly. Instead, Casey Anthony and her family have done all that they can to alienate the media, and the public at large.
Again, I ask….if Casey has done nothing wrong, has nothing to hide, and has any kind of information at all as to Caylee’s whereabouts, why isn’t she providing this to the investigators who want so badly to find her baby? Why does she continue to act like she has something to hide, like she’s guilty? And if she’s not, and it’s her lawyer that is doing all of this to paint her in such a negative light…..there are thousands of lawyers out there. Why not fire THAT one, and find someone who actually cares about finding Caylee?
Again, all just my opinion. Feel free to share yours.
This whole case makes me so sick! I hope the truth will come out soon. It all just makes me so upset!
A mother who has absolutely nothing to hide will comply whole heartedly with the police and investigators so they can do their job and try to find her missing child. It sickens me to see this so called mother on the news crying. Why cry?? She is only crying because she got caught. She knows the whereabouts of her child, yet she is to afraid to admit it…… and afraid she should be. The grandmother should be ashamed of herself for defending her daughter. She knows herself that her daughter did something to her grandchild. This whole thing is just sickening. I would just love to beat the BLEEP out of her until she spills the truth. I just wonder if this mother didnt traffick her child for money. Its a sick world out there and this woman deserves a good a$$ whoopin……seriously
My question is where is the father of the little girl?
I heard on Nancy Grace that the father of the little girl died, I believe a year ago in a car crash not sure if car crash is accurate I may have that part confused with another case but the father has past on.
The next thing we hear from Casey will be some outrageous thing like she is going to get out of jail to prepare for her daughter’s 3rd birthday party. Her parents have never stopped her from this kind of thinking and talking-none of them can think critically nor do they have any insight into what is going on. They are disordered and dangerous people. What a sad and hideous story.
The parents may not have known what was wrong with their daughter but they had every right to protect their grandaughter from her terribly meanspirited mother. Of course Cindy stated in open court, amid all the talk and evidence that her daughter was a “great mother’. Did she not know that it was important to display maternal instinct or was it just okay to buy the clothes and sunglasses? Did she work to support the child or was she always on the take? Neither one of them seems to have a fully formed conscience or any feelings of trust between them. F Bombs are okay to throw around as well as all the disengenuous language. Where are her friends in her time of need?

Today I read that the prosecutor is offeing or considering Casey partial immunity.
If the prosecution does a thing they should be ds-barred, prosecutis themselves for deriliction of duty
If the partial immunity is true that just confirms that there is no jusitce in our judicial system. You might as well let Charles Manson out of prison give him a few million along with an apology letter for the injustice he received. GAWD!! This country is seriously messed. Where is the morality??

Casey, is a know lier. Anything that comes from her mouth is a lie. She knows where her little girl is, alive or dead. The shovel, the gas, the dirt, the smell.
Is there a grave? Did she burn her own child? There are so many questions, and very little true answers, what does Casey want, to get out so she can kill herself. Is that why she is loosing weight, to starve herself to death, so she wont be able to tell anyone where Caylee is?
Casey, is an actress, she has the center stage, she likes it, why should she tell them where her daughter is, it would take the spotlight off her, and she doesnt want that.
I may have been an overprotective mother when my children were growing up, and if my child were to become missing, if i couldn’t find my child, i would go to the police,within a twentfour hour time limit, and still search for my child, and help them anyway possible to help them find the child. Any mother would. But not Casey. If she wanted a life without her child, she should have left Caylee with her parents. Then all of this would not of happened.
I think the family should stop contacting casey completely. let her rot in jail. when the walls start closing in on her, I’m guessing she’ll spill the beans. Isolation is what Casey needs. She’s not cooperating, fine, ignore her. Make her think that she’s alone in this.
Also… I’m surprised that her Dad, a retired police office for crying out loud, can’t get to this bottom of this. All the criminals he has interviewed in his career and he is clueless with Casey??? The only reasonable explaination is that he knows the truth. That’s why he has been so quiet and reserved in this. How many retired police officers would sit around like this clown while their daughter was jailed on suspicion of comitting murder on another family member? Do you think he helped casey in some kind of cover up..ie gas cans. How does a girl who parties at night clubs knows how to professionally dispose of a body? Someone helped her!!!!!!! My theory is Dad helped and they agreed not to ever tell Cindy.
You cant blame her parents for taking up for Casey, it’s human nature. You all are bashing her parents for doing the same thing that Casey should’ve done!!!!
you are wrong! Caseys parents should have sat on this girl many years ago. They were too indulgent and permissive and raised a monster. “Taking up” for Casey as you put it should be making it clear that they love their daughter and will stand with her NOT that they will lie, fabricate and alter the truth to try and help her. Caylee is dead and Casey is responsible. It is up to the parents to make Casey tell the truth and take responsibility for her actions. They have only themselves to blame-they raised a 22 year old, high school drop out, without a job, a thief who steals from her friends and family, a liar who drags others into her lies, and most likely a murderer! There truly are victims here first and foremost Caylee who had no choice, then Zenaida whose life is being ruined by Caseys lies, and finally the entire Orlando law enforcement comunity who have spent hours and hours on a case that could have been solved with one honest statement from the perpetrator.

The parents are definitely in denial but it isn’t as easy as you think to just cut off your own child. I love when people say this but haven’t had to deal with this. You can lead a child in life but that doesn’t mean you can make them make the right choices. You also can’t live their life for them. I wonder if the grandparents had tried to take legal custody because she is considered unreliable, whether the courts would have just stuck up for Casey and thought they were overprotective. You can’t use hindsight unfortunately. I think her parents suspect and that’s why Cindy doesn’t make real strong eye contact in her interviews. She doesn’t want to believe it.

Paula, I never said to cut off their child, I said need to do what they should have done years ago-make it clear to Casey that they love her and will stand beside her no matter what BUT they should insist that the truth should be told no matter what! Just as with a child, lying has a consequence in this case it may be life in prison but that is Caseys choice. If Caylee died as a result of an accident and Casey would have been raised right and knew enough to speak the truth this would be a whole different discussion. Sure she might still be responsible but for much less than what she has got herself into now. As far as not understanding, I understand far more than you know. My 2 toddler sons died 27 years ago due to a horrible accident with a malfunctioning furnace and C02 poisoning. I KNOW what it is like to lose children and I can tell you that the narcissisitic Casey is NOT a grieving mother. My husband and I would have given our lives to have allowed our boys to survive and even all these years later we still shed tears just speaking of them. The Anthony family has alot to answer for!
If I were going to dispose of a body, Lake County Florida is a great place. Lots of gators to do the job in no time. It’s highly possible no remains will ever be found. And therefore, if I was Casey Anthony, and I was guilty, I’d be sitting in jail keeping my mouth shut and refusing to talk to anyone, hoping and praying no evidence against me comes to light before my eventual trial and sentencing.
Ironic that is just what she is doing.
On the other hand, Casey seems to thrive on media attention; psychiatrists have tested her and even have a label for her narcissistic behavior. I’d bet if the media left her alone for awhile, and her current popularity fades away, she’s apt to spill a confession just to get herself back in the limelight.
That young woman is a manipulator of her parents, friends, police, etc. If that woman doesn’t speak up about Caylee’s whereabouts, no one will find her. The whole thing sounds like this family “togetherness” has been a big joke. It sounds like to me this manipulative woman probably had a rift with her family, wanting to go out, party, ect., and her parents were trying to hold her to being a responsible mother and it just didn’t work with Casey. I think she took her anger toward her parents out on her daughter because her daughter, Caylee, was in her way and was easy to dispose of and use her to hurt her parents. I feel sorry for the grandparents of Caylee. They have been very suckered in by this young woman. Also, if I ever called my mother “honey”, “sweetie”, (especially in the context Casey used it) she would have “chewed me out”. I fear the little girl is deceased and there is no one to blame but her own mother.

by the way, on Nancy Grace, someone said it was not proved that the man named as Caylee’s father was not her father. Another lie from Casey? How convenient that she picked someone who has passed away. She doesn’t know who the father is.

Her parents are so in denial and its a shame that they believed Casey’s statement about Caylee coming home for her third birthday, and the other story about how everthing must be kept hush hush because Caylee is in great danger of being hurt by this phantom kidnapper. So, what are people suppose to think? So what are they saying, do they want people to find her or not? How do they know she’s safe, are they with her?
Cindy didn’t know it smelled like a dead body in the car or that Caylee was missing before the first 911 call. Apparently, or she would’ve said it on the first call.
What would’ve happened if Cindy had known all that before she ever called 911 then?
Casey Anthony has lied so much. Most mothers/fathers would do anything to help find their child. Casey is a proven habitual liar, and sadly, her family is covering for her. They may not really know what happened to their granddaughter, but they are not looking for her, either. Where are the organizied search parties, as we have seen numerous families participate in around the country when a loved one is missing?
How did Casey support herself? Her parents had to have known she did not have a job at Universal Studios. There is no way to hide that for 2 years. They are enablers, and keep defending Casey. I understand their instinct to protect their child, but enough is enough.
The whole thing outrages me, and I do believe that poor Caylee may be dead. I just hope that their will be justice for this child.

Mmm, maybe the baby HAS been kidnapped. It’s not likely, but it is possible. However, truthfully, this girl Casey Anthony is a very sick, but very clever little girl. She has the cops dancing to her tune, her parents are like puppets whie she pulls the strings. I heard that she is now studying law books while she sits in her cell. Trying to figure out a way to wriggle out of the trouble she’s in.
Also, I agree that her parents, while grieving for the missing granddaughter, are too willing to believe the stories she tells. ” She is a good mother, she always tells the truth after lying”. Gosh, how do they know when she’s telling the truth. However, Casey is determined not to suffer the consequences of her actions, whatever they may be, and to come out looking like a hero to her parents. She’s very practiced at fooling people, and she will continue to do it as long as it works.
Any updates on this case? I watched Nancy Grace last night, and there are reports that Casey Anthony may face new charges.
Toni, you are so right. Casey does seem to be pulling everyone’s strings. I think by this point, she only has her parent’s fooled, though. I doubt officers of the law believe anything she says anymore.
After seeing her parents last night on the news, and her father in particular, I do wonder how much they are really covering up.

I agree with you 100%…Some others have suggested that Caylee is a product of incest, I don’t think so. Lets not go there, this poor little thing has been through enough. “Awwww!” If she is deceased, God for bid, I hate to even imagine that, but it doesn’t look good after all this time. If so, I hope she didn’t suffer. I hope all kinds of things didn’t happen to her, God! I’ve met a lot of kids whose father’s were cops, those kids were in more damn trouble. Not all of them, but they got them out of things, and let them get away with more than the average kid, that’s not good. Your kid’s wrong, let them know it, before they grow up with everybody hating them and blame their own parents for it.
I know it, can you imagine your daughter living with you the entire time, has a phantom nanny, and you’re not asking questions? I couldn’t leave “somebody” else’s kid with somebody I didn’t know, never mind my own child or grandchild. Hell, come to think about it, I never left a pet with someone I didn’t know.
Of course everyone is concerned about Caylee, go tell that one to Casey. If she was more concerned about Caylee to begin with, people wouldn’t be worried about Caylee now! Just because people are considering the worst possible scenario, doesn’t mean that everyone doesn’t want Caylee to be found unharmed! I’m sick of hearing, it’s all about Caylee. NO KIDDING! What do you think we’re all worried about, her neighbor’s dog down the street? Even a doctor will tell you, we think the worst and work our way down. And if you haven’t noticed, they didn’t issue an Amber Alert, because that’s for missing children they said. They think they have a homicide here, they told you that, they’re not stupid. Kathy, I agree with you once again. Don’t you hate it when people say, you would do the same thing, stick up for your kids no matter what, bull%^&$! I know me! I’ve flipped out on my kids, for far less than this, you do wrong, you’re wrong. You’re not doing your kids any favors by defending them right or wrong. My kid wouldn’t want to steal from me, my kids are grown and married now, and they are good kids. Because I taught them right from wrong, not the opposite. Then Casey steals her car, credit cards, gas, friends money, check….etc. Is there now limit to what she would do? God only knows what else she’s done to them. Now the child is missing. If this were my kid. I KNOW I would say, Don’t “ever” speak to me again!
Yes, you can help them make the right choices! Are you kidding me? You don’t just feed them, bathe them, take them to doctors and let them sleep over your house until they’re grown. There are DO’s and Don’ts in life.
1. Don’t kill people (if she did)
2. Don’t steal
3. Don’t swear at people who are genuinely concerned about helping you
4. Don’t party like that
5. Don’t lie about serious things like this
6. Don’t end up in jail
7. Watch your kid
8. Work
You don’t defend your child no matter what, when there is concrete evidence. You’ll have a rotten kid. You have to often wonder, how does a child get this way. If you think back to the Susan Smith case, she too was described as a “loving” mother and this too was backed up by video evidence of her playing and loving with the kids. Even seemingly “loving” mothers can be closet crazies. Her parents, and step-parents did not make up lies for her, fabricate for her, alter facts for her, justify her actions. No, they stood by her throughout the trial and subsequent life sentence. Her mother was interviewed many times and always expressed that Susan is still her child and although she did not understand why it happened she would still try to love and embrace her. Kudos to the mom there who despite her own tragedy was able to use her faith to move forward.
This morning I watched a set of parents on Fox whose two young daughters had gone to visit their GPs for the summer in the Republic of Georgia and have now been trapped behind the enemy lines. These people were so distraught and hysterical about these beautiful little girls and how to get them back. They were literally begging for help from anyone. Now, compare that to the reactions (or lack thereof) that we have seen from the Anthony Family. Really tells you something doesn’t it???
Casey is getting caught in more and more lies, and I do think as time goes on, her family is covering up for her. Her father is a liar too. Who are these mysterious kidnappers that are being watched????
The whole thing is so bizarre, and it does bare a eerie similarity to the Susan Smith case.

Everyone who knows personally Casey said she lies. She is acting like she is hiding something and that’s not all she was partying the same time her little girl was missing!! I am a mother and I’ ll be @@**&& if I do not give any information about my missing daughter. I will be crawling in the streets looking for her. I wish I can be there when they release her so I can throw rocks to her. I know the truth will come soon and she will be in jail again and I hope for ever!
I think Casey’s Father fathered little Caylee. So he is the Father/grandfather!

I think she just got tired of being a mother and did away with her burden.
I also think her “newest boyfriend” Tony may have influenced the situation by telling Casey that while he “loved” her (Casey) – he wasn’t ready to take on a family. The solution – no more child.
The Bounty Hunter – he will post a $50,000.00 Business Expense on his 2008 Federal Income Taxes for National Avertising. While he claims he’s gotten involved to get to the “bottom of the matter” – he is not in a position to do anything – as Casey’s Attorney has barred him from asking her any questions relevant to the matter. He’s just a big Bullshitter – looking for publicity for himself and a disgrace to he so-called Profession.
This case is going to go cold and by now, most of us know Casey killed her daughter. She should have been left in jail. She lies so much that after awhile, she would have slipped and said something to someone in jail, even if it was a small detail. The bounty hunter who helped free her is a nutjob looking for publicity.
I have been following this story and the more I read, see and hear, the sicker I get. The scenarios are endless in what took place with this baby girl, kidnapping, murder, drowning and the list goes on. I just don’t understand how the mother of a child that is missing can hide behind a deffense of “protecting the family”??? That is your FLESH AND BLOOD that is missing!!!!!! after seeing your family….they’ll be fine! Shame on you Casey for letting that mouth of your remain shut when help was right in your cell with you!!!!!!! Law Enforcement was and is right there for your disposal!!!!!! GOD only knows your ability to find her came up way short…almost as short as the dress you were sporting while doing “undercover” work. Undercover is a figure of speech, not something you get under when getting your little girl back……. You are not worthy of her and I pray she is in peace wherever she is. Because the thought of her being returned to you and your family is a life sentence for that poor angel, One no child should ever have to endure.

I agree, this whole thing is crazy. I have compiled a map of places I think they should start looking for Caylee’s body (http://shunammite.wordpress.com/2008/08/27/map-of-casey-anthonys-hot-spots/) especially since the lab results confirm that there was in fact a dead body in her trunk.

IMHO, she could be setting people like you up to expose how evil you are. Your show shows how dangerous narcissistic people such as you are to society. The last time I checked we are all innocent until proven guilty. You incite prejudice and unfair treatment because of your show. Just look at the mood outside Casey’s parent’s home. They are ready to string her up because of people like you who love for the ratings to stir up the emotions of your idiotic fans.
Someone needs to set you up Nancy and I hope it is Casey.
IMO, Casey could be looking to sue you. She could have set the whole thing up, down to keeping her folks out of the loop. Maybe she set up the cops to find evidence that she planted on purpose, just to bait YOU…IMO, she is not breaking the law by keeping her mouth shut.
I hope that all the evil people out there are taking notes. Don’t ever speak to the police. Don’t cave in. Plant evidence , drive around and make calls all over the place, especially out near state parks, lakes, airports then take the batteries out of your phone and continue on with your evil deed.
So answer me this.. If she knows and little Caylee is in good hands with one of her friends, what law did she break other than the writing bad checks…. Can she SUE you?

does anyone know what a bail bondsman does and if your out on bond that means you promise to go to court and do what stipulations they ask of you nobody deserves to stay in jail if they have not went to trial what happened to our thinking innocent until proven guilty even if we think she is guilty we are not the district attorney or the jury remember that and remember the grandparents are not being treated right they are being abused and their lives are in danger where are the law officials they should protect them get with it people put yourself in their shoes
i feel so sorry for the parents my heart goes out to them they must be exhausted upset and worried to death i beleive these are good people i don’t feel they are being treated right i am sorry but i would use whatever was legal to make them stay away from my home like stink spray are scent of a dead skunk if they stood out there they would stand in it they need rest and deserve peace at there on home they are going through enough they have alot of misery to deal with without the public at their doorstep
I agree, the protesters in front of the Anthony home are doing nothing but making a horrible situation more difficult. Their neighbors did nothing wrong and shouldn’t have to deal with the disturbance they are causing. I wonder if they really think they are there doing something worthwhile or they are just looking for their 15 minutes of fame.

yes…its true…cindy and george have filed for divorce back in 2005….because he had spend thousands on computer online gambling….he has a real problem with it!…..but then they re-financed there house…..that why they dont have much equity in there house and cant help casey that much! Also, george surely has a bad temper….he needs anger management…..he threw once cindy’s dad thru the class door (window)….to everyone…you will find out soon enough how many dark secrets this sorry ass family has…!!
